“Roaches!!! Be Aware! I came here to get a pedicure and a fill in for builder gel! I only got my nails done because they have roaches and one crawled on my foot! I informed the person doing my nails and he sat there as if it was NORMAL! I asked him to stop so I can take my purse to the car because I didn’t want any roaches coming home with me, he started rambling on about dip powder! Yes, because it was a roach over there too! I stopped past the front desk to share with the manager my experience and she pretended not to understand what I said until I showed her this photo. I asked if the exterminated and she said something about the restaurant next door! Beware!”

“I’m absolutely delighted—it was magnificent work. I loved it; the young woman did a fantastic job. She was incredibly detail-oriented and a perfectionist with the edges, and the heart design turned out perfect—she freehanded it, and it was beautifully shaped and detailed. It was a quick yet well-executed job. Her name is Lili; great work, thank you so much. I truly recommend it—it’s a great place to get your nails done.”

“I’m honestly disappointed writing this because I genuinely loved coming to this salon for a long time, mainly because of Lee. Lee is always professional, kind, welcoming, and consistently does my nails perfectly. His energy and customer service are the reason I kept returning. Unfortunately, my last experience completely changed how I feel about this place. Dan, who I believe is the owner and used to do my nails before, treated me in a way that felt dismissive and careless. I came in needing a broken nail fixed, and instead of handling it professionally, I felt blamed and brushed off. The repair was rushed, uneven, and noticeably bigger than my other nails. What hurt the most wasn’t even the nail itself, it was the attitude and lack of care shown toward me as a paying customer. Saying “I don’t do nails like Lee” felt more like an excuse than an attempt to actually fix the issue properly. I’m not a difficult customer at all. I’m respectful, patient, and understanding, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I believe customers deserve to be treated with kindness and professionalism, especially when they’re spending their hard-earned money. It honestly breaks my heart to leave this review because I truly enjoyed coming here, but people deserve to know my experience. Respect and customer service matter just as much as the nails.”

“Unprofessional. The lady who did my pedicure 3/24 simply missed a step. Typical human nature. I mentioned it to the lady doing my services several times and after like the 5th time the lady starts screaming out in her language her frustrations. Advised the front desk of her behavior issue and they simply brushed it off and took her side saying she didn't skip a step as if they were there to catch the interaction. I won't be back to this location ever again. Professionalism goes a long way.”

“I’ve been going to this same nail salon for over 5 years, so this was really disappointing. I specifically asked for Kevin, and the manager told me multiple times to get my pedicure first and that he would do my nails after. But toward the very end of my pedicure—while I was getting my top coat—they gave him to another client who had just walked in. When I tried to address it, I was completely ignored. I didn’t argue, I just decided I wouldn’t be spending my money there anymore. On the bright side, I found a new spot—Trap Beauty Bar in Charlotte—and I’m so glad I did. It’s a Black-owned establishment, and they offer everything: nails, feet, hair, braids, lashes, waxing. The customer service was amazing, and the whole vibe was welcoming and professional. Definitely a hidden gem, and I’m happy to support a business that values its clients. This is my first set at Trap Beauty Bar today and it’s definitely stronger acrylic! If you value where you spend your hard earned black dollars in today’s climate, you will feel relieved as I do!”
